Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., SQL, data analytics, or reporting tools) are preferred.
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience working with Oracle Health Millennium reporting tools in projectized environments, with hands-on expertise in Cerner Command Language (CCL), PowerInsight (PI), and Data Analytics 2 (DA2).
Strong technical skills in designing, coding, testing, and deploying CCL-based reports and data extracts, with the ability to validate data integrity and accuracy.
Proven experience collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and clinical/operational stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Demonstrated ability to optimize, troubleshoot, and resolve report defects or inefficiencies, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with project objectives.
Familiarity with EHR workflows (physician, nursing, and operational) to ensure reporting outputs are clinically relevant and seamlessly integrated into project deliverables.
Experience contributing to quality assurance activities, including test planning, data validation, peer reviews, and documentation of report logic, data sources, and dependencies.
Solid understanding of project governance practices, with the ability to track progress against deliverables, flag risks, and align with project timelines and quality standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Commitment to continuous learning with an ability to stay current on Cerner reporting tools, Oracle Health updates, and industry best practices in healthcare reporting and analytics.
Participate in project delivery and work within the project lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment) to deliver high-quality Cerner CCL-based reports, extracts, and analytics solutions.
Develop reporting solutions, use Cerner Command Language (CCL), PI (PowerInsight), and DA2 (Data Analytics 2) tools to design, code, test, and deploy reports and data extracts that meet business and clinical stakeholder requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders and partner with project managers, analysts, and clinical/operational teams to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and validate outputs.
Optimize and troubleshoot reports, ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of reports proactively identify and resolve defects, data issues, and inefficiencies during the project lifecycle.
Support integration with project workflows to align reporting solutions with the project's broader objectives, ensuring consistency with nursing, physician, and operational workflows.
Perform quality assurance and documentation, contribute to test planning, data validation, and peer reviews while documenting report logic, data sources, and dependencies for future reference.
Contribute to project governance and assist in tracking progress against deliverables, escalating risks or blockers, and ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
Stay current with reporting tools and standards to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cerner CCL, PI, DA2, and related Oracle Health reporting updates, applying new capabilities to enhance project deliverables.
