Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java API Engineer (7+ years) with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Hibernate. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing scalable enterprise applications, working in Agile/SAFe environments, and delivering robust solutions with modern testing and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a core member of an Agile team, analyzing user stories and developing responsive web applications.
- Perform hands-on coding, unit testing, proof of concepts, and code reviews in ongoing sprints.
- Drive continuous improvement through refactoring and optimization of code.
- Build integrations and APIs with other enterprise platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers to solve complex problems.
- Work with Product Owners to define requirements, plan feature increments, and deliver value.
- Ensure automation by partnering with QA Engineers to create and maintain automated test scripts.
- Design and build integration components and interfaces in collaboration with Architects and Infrastructure Engineers.

Required Qualifications

- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in Java with deep knowledge of web fundamentals and HTTP protocol.
- 5+ years developing enterprise Java applications (Java 11+ preferred).
- Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices.
- Experience with frameworks like Dropwizard (a plus).
- 23 years of recent experience with JavaScript/Node.js (a plus).
- 3+ years of experience with TDD, BDD, and testing tools: Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments.
- 34 years of Agile/SAFe development experience.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and proven ability to build scalable web applications.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
