Job Description Assistant Professor Computer Science Rama University 1. Position Overview Rama University is seeking a dedicated and qualified Assistant Professor in Computer Science to join its Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The ideal candidate must possess strong academic credentials, subject expertise, and a commitment to teaching, research, and academic development as per UGC norms. 2. Educational Qualification (As per UGC Norms) - B.Tech, M.Tech / Computer Science & Engineering or IT from a recognized and accredited university is mandatory. - Candidates with Ph.D. (preferred but not mandatory) will be given additional weightage. - Must meet all academic eligibility norms as prescribed by UGC. Roles & Responsibilities Deliver high-quality lectures for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Prepare lesson plans, study material, and academic content. Conduct laboratory sessions, tutorials, and practical assessments. Guide students in academic projects, research work, internships, and competitions. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives. Engage in research, publish papers in reputed journals, and contribute to academic growth. Assist in departmental activities, conferences, workshops, and seminars. Maintain discipline, uphold academic standards, and contribute to overall institutional development. Mentor students and support them in academic and career development. Skills & Competencies Strong subject knowledge in core CS and M.Tech specialization areas. Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to engage students and create an interactive learning environment. Research aptitude and interest in publishing.
