- Manage supplier performance to meet theProduct QualityandOn time deliveryas per Thales requirements.Efficiently utilize PM and quality tools to manage the programs.
- Manage communications between THALES business units and suppliers to execute the programs to meet stringent requirements of THALES.
- New Product Introduction: Lead Milestones reviews and establish the right level ofWork breakdown structureto ensure clarity to all stakeholders.
- Prepare Dashboards and communicating with all stakeholders of the project. Establish transparent communication mechanism for the project.
- Resolve supplier queries, set-up initial production processes, inspection criteria and qualification processes for FAI / Prototype builds. Also support query resolution in Series production phase.
- Monitor Supplier readiness in terms of Supply Chain, Process qualification and Production along with right level of documentation.
- Formulate and prepare internal department report pertaining to Supplier Performance Management on a routine basis.
- Drive and co-ordinate quality issues related to supplier with Purchasing /Program/ Technical Support team. Efficiently utilize6 sigma methodologiesto analyze and resolve quality issues.
- Support the suppliers in improving their maturity throughSupplier development processand methodologies. Share Best Practices with suppliers.
- Alert management (both internal and supplier) on the anticipated risks and seek support to implement strong action plan at suppliers.
- Support buyers in identifying and developing cost efficient processes that can help in reducing the price and lead times.

Competence/knowledge Required:

- Should possess strong Technical background on Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical/ Cable Assemblies.
- Should be certified IPC/WHMA/620A for Wire and Cable Harnessing.
- Program / project management skills to manage HLA.
- Should possess excellent knowledge on quality standards in Mechanical and Electronic for Aerospace and Defense Industry such as IPCA, AS9100, ISO9001:2000, 27000 quality standards.
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge is mandatory.
- Be agile to develop capabilities or acquire knowledge on new technologies to cater vast variety of THALES product development as deemed necessary by the Purchase Head.
- Experience in handling medium to complex Build To Spec assemblies with minimal support from Thales Legal entities.
- The candidate should possess strong inter-personal and presentation skills.

Qualification Experience Required:

- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics engineering with10-15 years of Industrial exposure.
- Experience in Program management, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Outsourcing activities and qualification is essential.
- Proficient in MS office.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
- Ability to interact with all levels of management (Internal and Supplier organization), both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of French language, an added advantage
