Role: Consultant Actuarial

Location: Hyderabad

Reporting to: Program Manager

A brief overview of the job role:

As a consultant Actuarial at ekincare, you will be a key player in shaping the pricing strategy for our healthcare products, including Annual Health Check (AHC), Flexi Subscription, and OPD plans. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing models, support market research, and play an essential role in enhancing our health-tech offerings. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to take on ownership, drive initiatives, and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- AHC & Subscription Pricing:
- AHC Deal Pricing: Determine pricing for new Annual Health Check (AHC) proposals and renewals, factoring in past-year utilization and cost trends.
- Flexi Subscription Pricing: Establish pricing for new and renewal Flexi plan subscriptions of our product using P&L insights and utilization trends.
- OPD Pricing & Renewals:
- New OPD Pricing: Design pricing structures for OPD plans of our product based on package types, coverage, and service mode.
- OPD Renewals: Analyze claims MIS, demographic data, and utilization patterns to set renewal pricing across different benefits and relationships.
- Market & Risk Analysis:
- Conduct competitive market research to benchmark AHC and OPD product pricing.
- Assess underwriting risk and recommend improvements in pricing models.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (actuarial, finance, and sales teams) to refine pricing strategies.

Ideal Candidate:

- No minimum experience required Freshers with a zeal to learn, grow, take complete ownership, and a hustling spirit are welcomed.
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Engineering, Healthcare, or Business Administration.
- Experience in SQL/Tableau/Data Visualization tools will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills with keen enthusiasm to learn pricing, underwriting, or actuarial analysis.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to process unstructured information into actionable insights.
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver tangible results in critical situations.
- A go-getter attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Passionate about addressing healthcare consumer needs.
