Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage the full spectrum of our accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Zoho Books. This role requires a proactive finance professional capable of handling multi-entity accounting, consolidations, compliance, and financial reporting, while supporting strategic decision-making through meaningful financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end accounting operations in Zoho Books.
- Handle multiple accounts, branches, and projects with accurate consolidation.
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Manage cash flows and working capital effectively.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and vendor/client reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable with timely follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial insights.
- Establish and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
- Identify and implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain proper documentation, ensuring data accuracy & confidentiality.
- Demonstrate expertise in Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Strong experience in handling banking operations.
- Coordinate effectively with other departments.
- Demonstrate multi-tasking ability and adaptability.
- Work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.com).
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in accounting and financial management.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting operations, preferably using Zoho Books or similar cloud-based accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in Zoho Books (or equivalent accounting software).
- Working knowledge of taxation laws, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
- Familiarity with MIS reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control techniques.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process improvement, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices.
