Who we areThe Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world How With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers - and sets a new standard for global reach accuracy and transparency We are proud of the culture we have built We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day We are seeking a Senior Counsel who thrives in analyzing complex legal issues finding creative solutions and effectively structuring and negotiating deals As a key member of the commercial legal team the Senior Counsel will collaborate closely with business team members across various functional areas This role requires a deep understanding of legal requirements particularly in the regions of India Southeast Asia Australia and New Zealand The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing competing demands working independently and providing clear communication at all levels of the organization What you will do Structure draft review negotiate and manage a variety of commercial contracts and technology related agreements including master service agreements and ancillary documentation supporting customer relationships Identify research analyze and advise business teams on a wide range of legal issues e g contract law data security privacy law Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company in India across APAC and around the world Communicate complex legal concepts in layman s terms with teams in different countries and across functions Develop your skill set to help us scale globally while still taking into account local rules regulations practices Who you are Over 5 years of experience working in-house at an established technology company and or in the technology practice of a law firm Admitted to practice in India or another common law jurisdiction Strong analytical and legal skills with substantial experience in structuring drafting reviewing and negotiating various commercial agreements Effective communication skills capable of engaging with internal stakeholders external advisers customers and vendors at all levels Solid business acumen and sound judgment Creative and pragmatic problem-solving abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Fluency in English written and spoken is required Background in advertising data privacy and or digital media is preferred
