Fabrication & Fitting Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using tools such as grinders, shears, drills, and plasma cutters. Fit and align parts to exact specifications using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Fabricate structural components, machine parts, frames, and equipment as per company requirements. 2. Welding & Assembly Perform different types of welding, including MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas Welding, based on project needs. Join metal sections using approved welding techniques and ensure joints are durable and defect-free. Assemble prefabricated parts, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections. Ensure proper finishing of fabricated components, including grinding, polishing, and surface treatment. 3. Equipment Operation Operate various fabrication machines such as: Power saws, cutting torches, and hydraulic presses. Drilling, bending, and shaping machines. Welding machines and plasma cutters. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure smooth functioning. 4. Quality Control Inspect fabricated components to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Detect defects or inaccuracies in finished products and make necessary corrections. Maintain strict adherence to tolerances, dimensions, and technical standards. 5. Safety & Compliance Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, gloves, and safety glasses. Ensure safe handling of welding equipment, cutting tools, and hazardous materials. Report any workplace hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to the supervisor. 6. Teamwork & Coordination Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to complete projects efficiently. Provide input and suggestions to improve fabrication processes and efficiency. Assist in training junior fitters, welders, and apprentices when required.Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills Hands-on experience in metal fabrication, fitting, and welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately. Knowledge of various metals, alloys, and fabrication processes. Familiarity with cutting, bending, and shaping tools. Proficiency in operating welding machines and other fabrication equipment. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship. Problem-solving mindset to handle unexpected technical challenges. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
