Job Description Job Reference # 331318BR Your role Interested in working in finance, specifically Global Internal Audit (GIA), but not sure where to start Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint that consistently ranks among the world's top financial institutions We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Global Internal Audit (GIA) business. You'll get: - to make a real difference as part of a team reviewing remediation actions completed by the business - to gain an in-depth understanding of the bank through dealing with issues from all functions and locations - to learn and apply auditing procedures to assess the effectiveness of our control environment - to successfully collaborate with colleagues in Issue Assurance and across GIA and build as well as maintain constructive relationships with relevant stakeholders at all levels - to identify opportunities to simplify our processes, leveraging the latest technology and developments in AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ways we work. Your team You'll be working in GIA, which is an independent function that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes, governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions and group functions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the chairman of the board and the audit committee. As part of your internship, you will be a member of the global issue assurance team, responsible for conducting independent assurance reviews of non-financial risk (NFR) Issues. The team assesses the design, operating effectiveness, and sustainability of remediation actions taken by management to address identified risks. In addition to issue assurance reviews, the team contributes to cross-functional GIA initiatives, projects, and audits, collaborating with colleagues across multiple global locations reflecting the diverse and international nature of GIA. Your expertise We're looking for a candidate who: - has a or an ongoing bachelor's or master's degree preferably in finance, banking, technology or a quantitative field - has strong analytical mindset and a structured approach to problem solving - is able to quickly understand complex processes and think critically, with a willingness to challenge assumptions and propose practical solutions - has the eagerness to learn and stay informed about the banking industry and technological developments - has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative - is a strategic (and creative) thinker with strong communication skills - is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines We're looking for someone who's curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving.
