ServiceNow Sales and Order Management (SOM) Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

The ServiceNow Sales and Order Management (SOM) Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the ServiceNow Sales and Order Management module to support business processes related to sales, order processing, and customer management. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across sales, IT, and operations teams to gather requirements, configure solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

System Configuration & Support:

Design, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow SOM module to support business sales and order management processes.

Customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, and integrations to meet business needs.

Ensure system functionality aligns with business goals, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for users.

Business Analysis & Process Optimization:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for sales and order management operations.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize sales and order fulfillment workflows.

Develop functional specifications and assist in translating them into technical solutions.

Support process automation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.

Integration & Data Management:

Work with IT teams to integrate ServiceNow SOM with CRM, ERP, and other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle.

Manage data flow between ServiceNow and other platforms to ensure accurate and real-time information sharing.

Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance with data governance policies.

Testing & Training:

Develop and execute test plans, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and regression testing to validate system changes.

Provide training and documentation for end-users on new functionalities and updates.

Act as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow SOM-related processes and features.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, particularly in Sales and Order Management (SOM), ITSM, or related modules.

Strong knowledge of sales processes, order management, and customer lifecycle management.

Experience in system configuration, workflow automation, and custom application development in ServiceNow.

Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs for integrations with external systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant ServiceNow certifications.

Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Oracle ERP, or other sales/order management platforms.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, ITIL best practices, and change management processes.

Experience with data migration and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or ServiceNow Performance Analytics).

Strong attention to detail and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with different teams.
