We are seeking applications for the position of Tourism Sector Specialist for GIS based Master Plan in Andhra Pradesh. Missions/Main Duties: - Tourism Assessment & Analysis - Conduct comprehensive studies of existing tourism assets, tourist inflow patterns, tourism circuits, and supporting infrastructure within the project area. - Evaluate site-specific characteristics and market trends to determine current and potential tourism demand. - Identification & Development of Tourism Products - Identify opportunities for new or diversified tourism products, attractions, and experiences suited to the local/regional context. - Propose strategies for sustainable tourism development, including eco-tourism, heritage tourism, adventure tourism, and cultural experiences. - Planning & Design of Redevelopment Projects - Prepare concept plans, master plans, and detailed designs for the redevelopment and enhancement of tourism sites. - Develop frameworks for upgrading tourism infrastructure such as accessibility, amenities, signage, accommodation, and visitor services. - Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination - Liaise with government agencies, tourism boards, local communities, and private sector stakeholders to gather inputs and ensure broad-based project ownership. - Facilitate consultations, workshops, and market surveys related to tourism planning. - Project Delivery & Documentation - Prepare tourism sector assessment reports, redevelopment proposals, and feasibility studies with actionable recommendations. - Ensure project deliverables adhere to national and international best practices and standards in tourism planning. ---------------------------------------- Profile/Skills: - Master’s degree in planning, Tourism Studies, or equivalent from an accredited college/university. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience working on tourism-focused assignments involving asset identification, tourism circuit planning, and supporting infrastructure, preferably within large-scale urban or regional planning projects in India or abroad. - Experience with planning and design of redevelopment/enhancement of tourism sites. : We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency.
