About the Role-Trainee Medical Coder (Non Certified)
Responsibilities- Extracting pertinent information from patient records. - Reviewing documents for completeness. - Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG, and ASA codes. - Conducting chart audits. - Ensuring adherence to medical coding policies and standards. - Verifying code accuracy with physicians diagnoses. - Staying informed on evolving coding regulations. - Managing coding-related data and billing inquiries.
