Be the Basis of Risk Management as HCC Coder Job Description Experience/: 3 to 7 yrs Salary/: Based on Previous Experience Challenges/: Accurate and thorough patient risk assessment using the Hierarchical Condition Category /(HCC/) approach is vital as healthcare payment models quickly shift towards value/-based care /(VBC/). In order to ensure compliance and optimise risk adjustment factor /(RAF/) scores to gain proper compensation for patient care complexity, HCC Coders will need to be more than just accurate transcribers in the future.
