Overview: Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Reporting Specialist professional for the GCoE Business Enablement vertical. As part of the GCoE Business Enablement team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will manage the collection, processing, and analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency. You will lead a team of analysts and ensure the seamless delivery of data-driven solutions to internal stakeholders. Your role will involve driving data excellence and innovation. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the analytics team. You will interact with team members located in various regions across the globe. We are looking for someone who is very strong at MS Excel, possesses automation, good communication skills, and has keen attention to detail. We will provide the necessary training to support your development in this role. Exposure to advanced analytics tools, data visualization techniques, and predictive modeling is a definite plus. How you'll make an impact Responsibilities : - Data Verification: Review and verify data submissions from clients to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in the data. - Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to follow up on data submissions, clarify any issues, and ensure timely and accurate data delivery. - End-to-End Data Management: Acquire and scrape structured/unstructured data using Python, SQL, and automation tools, ensuring compliance with data policies. Clean and transform datasets using Python (Pandas), SQL, and Excel for analysis readiness. Integrate data from enterprise platforms like Salesforce and EPIC to enable comprehensive reporting. Development and Maintain - VBA macros, worked on large data set. - Database Management: Assist in the maintenance and updating of databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy across reporting platforms. - Data Visualization & Reporting: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to support data-driven decisions. Automate recurring reports with Python, VBA, and Macros to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, compelling manner. - Advanced Analytics & Insights: Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and insights that inform business strategy. Build dynamic dashboards using Power BI with advanced DAX formulas and MS Excel. Apply statistical modeling and forecasting using Python and SQL to support data-driven decisions across business units. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual effort. Lead initiatives to improve data quality and governance - Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in data analytics tools and methodologies. - Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes and procedures to ensure consistency and transparency. - Tool Integration & Workflow Automation: Integrate data from Salesforce, EPIC, and other enterprise systems. Build scalable solutions for data ingestion and transformation using Python and Excel automation. About you: Qualifications : Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Preferred Degree: Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees can provide deeper expertise and a competitive edge in the field. Certificate(s)/Special Training: - Certified Analytics Professional (CAP): A widely recognized certification that demonstrates expertise in the analytics process. - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate: Validates skills in using Power BI to maximize the value of data assets. - Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate: Provides foundational skills in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization. - SAS Certified Data Scientist: Demonstrates proficiency in using SAS for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. - Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Associate: Validates skills in using Tableau for data visualization and analysis. - SQL Certification: Proficiency in SQL is crucial for data querying and management, with various certifications available from platforms like Oracle or Microsoft. - R or Python Programming Certifications: Demonstrates ability to use these programming languages for data analysis and statistical computing. - Power BI Data Analyst Associate: Validates expertise in building scalable data models, writing advanced DAX formulas, and creating impactful visualizations using Power BI. Experience (Career Level Guide) - 7-12 years of experience in data analytics or a related field. - Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. - Experience in managing databases and conducting complex data analyses. - Advanced expertise in data modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques. - Proven track record of leading data-driven projects and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. - Experience in managing teams, developing analytics strategies, and driving innovation in data processes. - Strong ability to communicate insights to executive stakeholders and influence decision-making. Knowledge: - Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Macros, VBA, automation and Power Query) - Familiarity with SQL (Joins, CTEs, Window Functions) - Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies and statistical techniques - Proficient in SQL (Joins, CTEs, Window Functions) - Power BI (DAX, Power Query, models, etc.) - Skilled in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) - Familiarity with EPIC tool, and Salesforce for data extraction and reporting Skills: - Proficiency in MS Excel and basic programming in Python or R. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy.
