Job descriptionSome careers have more impact than others If youre looking for a career where you can make a real impression join HSBC and discover how valued youll be HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 62 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Cost Management AnalystPrincipal responsibilities The AVP - Analytics Reporting role will Develop new datasets which link customer demographics to operational costs and revenues to support customer-centric business decisioning regarding cost reduction initiatives Support development of Total Cost of Ownership models which allow management to make fact-based business decisions with full visibility of the impact on customers and revenue Involve frequent liaison with a large range of stakeholders including key leadership roles across Cost Management and Product owners in Retail Banking Provide the leadership team with data that gives confidence in the delivery of quality and service in line with Cost Management commitments and obligations Identifies opportunities to continuously improve and optimize the capabilities of the Cost Management program by extensively reviewing and improving existing processes Review of analysis MI and reporting Drawing out key themes trends or risks that could both positively or negatively affect the achievement of HSBC s organizational objectives Leads and manages initiatives to embed and maintain a culture where good data management and quality practices prevail Ensure data practices comply with regulations of all locations Authentically engages with the team colleagues and business partners to deliver at pace Makes considered decisions that protect and enhance HSBC values reputation and businessProven track record in role modelling the Group values and behaviors authentically engaging with your team colleagues and customers to deliver superior Customer Service through them Requirements 7 years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data and the communication of such to business and senior stakeholders Prior experience in identifying and creating a framework for continuous technical learning Prior Cost Management experience related with a financial institution or at a regulatory agency or major consulting firm is desirable Prior experience of working across 1 or more Risk Domains is desirable providing support and guidance to business functions Ability to accurately determine customer needs offer appropriate support Experienced in preparing and interpreting Management Information MI reports Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet timeframes while producing quality results Project Management ability to develop and deliver a plan to deliver project outcomes on time with limited supervision Demonstrates up to date industry knowledge of analytics best practices tools and trends Experience in Relational databases SQL Python R Big Query SAS Excellent Data crunching Insight generation Storytelling and Presentation skills Youll achieve more at HSBCHSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment We encourage applications from all suitably qualified persons irrespective of but not limited to their gender or genetic information sexual orientation ethnicity religion social status medical care leave requirements political affiliation people with disabilities color national origin veteran status etc We consider all applications based on merit and suitability to the role Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued By HSBC Electronic Data Processing India Private LTD
