JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SR. ESTIMATOR

Job responsibilities

ؠAnalyze drawing, specification and documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

ؠHanding all tender requirements and inquiry andfollow up on missing information, documents and clarifications.

ؠReview design options and recommend best solution, selecting and finalizing the systems.

ؠPreparation of value engineering options by maintaining the client requirement.

ؠChecking door/window/glazing schedules, BOQ and analytical section details.

ؠEstimate material and equipment costs to a level of detail matching the design documents.

ؠIdentifying cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.

ؠSelection of suitable system according to project specifications

ؠIdentify laborandmaterialcosts and time requirements by researching proposals/related documents, conducting detailed analysis of existing project cost and availing inputs from purchase department.

ؠEvaluate drawings, site surveys, existing estimates, site conditions and other available materials and help determine the project cost estimate.

ؠCost Estimation of complete system, prepare, finalize, submit tenders and obtain customer acceptance.

ؠCalculate material quantity requirements, utilize estimation softwareand prepare material takeoff.

ؠPrepare detailed cost estimate reports.

ؠOversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.

ؠAssessing the levels of risk on a project.

ؠPresent complex and detailed reports to management.

Requirementsfor this Role;

ؠGraduate degree / Diploma in Engineering (mechanical, civil, architectural)

ؠAt least8-10yearsas Estimatorin Aluminium Facade/ Aluminium/Glass fabrication industryin a similar profile.

ؠTechnical knowledge in Aluminium Systems windows,doors ,curtain wall,structural glazing, spiderglazing,skylights (design,fabrication and installation)

ؠExcellent team management skills with experience of managing a team of estimators

ؠStrong Analytical skills and problem solving skills with an eye for detail

ؠDetail oriented,focused,organized with good interpersonal skills.

ؠStrong Time Management skills with ability to work under pressure and strictly adhere and deliver as per deadlines

ؠOutstanding mathematics and IT abilitiesand proficient in relevant software including MS Office SuiteandAutocad
