Edit and proofread content to ensure it meets our quality standards, including grammar, style, and accuracy. Collaborate closely with reporters, photographers, and other content creators to develop compelling and engaging news stories. Manage editorial calendars and assign tasks to team members, ensuring timely delivery of content. Stay updated on current events, trends, and industry developments to ensure our coverage is relevant and timely. Uphold journalistic ethics and maintain a high level of objectivity and fairness in all published content. Develop and maintain relationships with sources, experts, and contributors to enhance our news network. Play a role in content planning, helping to identify newsworthy topics and angles for coverage. Engage with audience feedback and adapt editorial strategies based on reader preferences. Collaborate with other departments, such as digital media and marketing, to optimize content distribution and engagement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or a related field (Master's preferred). Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong understanding of journalistic principles, ethics, and standards. Familiarity with digital media trends and multimedia content production. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to meet tight deadlines.
