P osition Summary Level: Consultant or equivalent As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements. Work you'll do: Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients. - Experience as a Database Administrator with a strong focus on PostgreSQL - Build and operate the client infrastructure - Build and operation automations through - Develop understanding of and implement shared responsibility model - Implementation of ITIL Framework - Analyze the requirement from Architect , SME, Client, Application team etc. - Work on Monitoring, Backup, Patching, Vulnerability Remediation Troubleshooting issues pertaining to - Monitor the client infrastructure - Identity and access management - Identify , Analyze, and automate routine tasks - Develop understanding of SLA, SLO, SOW etc. - Coordinate with multiple teams to serve the request or resolve the incidents - Implementation of High Availability, update management, Disaster recovery, Backup and Restore - Documentation, Weekly/Bi-Weekly Deck preparation, KB article update - Train and Knowledge transfer to junior resources - Handover and On call support during weekends on rotational basis The team: At Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure we deliver solutions spanning Hybrid Cloud, Advanced Connectivity, AI Data Centers, High-Performance Computing, and AI Infrastructure to help clients achieve their desired outcomes. Qualifications Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications: - 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience - Good experience as Postgres DBA on Installation, configuration and upgrading of PostgreSQL Server - Ensure integrity, Availability, and performance of Postgres database systems by providing technical support and maintenance - Experience on PostgreSQL DB architecture - Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) - Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of multiple databases. - Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates - Good experience on managing regular backups , recovery and PITR of databases - Oversee the File system alerts and utilization of data and log files. - Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Vacuum, Deindexing, Archiving) - Experience on Data movement utilities like Export/load/Dump - Identify and recommend database techniques to support business needs - Shell scripting knowledge for automation tasks and monitoing alerts - Able to support 24/7 rotation Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) - Experience with other RDBMS technologies like Oracle, MSSQL etc Education: - BE/ B.Tech /M.C.A./ M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university Location: - Bengaluru/Hyderabad Shift Timings: - 24*7 Rotational Our purpose Deloitte's purpose is to make an impact that matters for our people, clients, and communities.
