We also specialize in integrating Salesforce with key business systems to help organizations streamline operations and gain a comprehensive view of their customers. About the Role We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience to join our team in a full-time, remote (work-from-home) capacity. The primary focus will be on building Python extraction pipelines and dbt transformation models. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus but not mandatory. *************** Dbt and Python experience is must Understanding of Data warehousing principles is must. Immediate Joiners only. ************* Key Responsibilities Python ETL Development - Build and maintain production-ready Python extraction scripts to pull data from APIs and file sources. - Create reusable shared libraries for data loading and logging. - Implement idempotent loads, retry logic, and robust error handling. dbt Modelling - Create staging, intermediate, and mart models in dbt following naming conventions and folder structures. - Implement incremental models and data quality tests. - Optimise SQL queries for performance. Orchestration & Monitoring - Deploy pipelines and integrate with schedulers. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting. - Maintain technical documentation for pipelines and models. Validation & Support - Troubleshoot data issues and mismatches. - Apply performance tuning to models. - Provide operational support and backfill procedures. Required Skills & Experience - Must-have: 23 years of professional, hands-on Python development for data engineering. - Must-have: Strong practical experience with dbt (sources.yml, staging/mart layers, incremental models, tests). - Strong SQL skills. - Git version control experience. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have - Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, GCS, Secret Manager). - Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau. - Experience with orchestration tools.
