Position Summary

We are seeking a Computational Designer with a strong background in Architecture and/or Interior Design to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on leveraging computational methods to enhance creativity, efficiency, and performance in architectural and interior projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with parametric modeling, automation tools, and performance analysis, driving innovative, data-driven design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement computational tools to optimize workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and explore generative design opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, and consultants to integrate computational design methodologies into the project lifecycle.
- Utilize parametric modeling platforms such as Rhino + Grasshopper and Dynamo.
- Create automation solutions using C# and Python scripting.
- Conduct performance analysis to support data-driven design decision-making.
- Develop and maintain design standards, scripts, and workflows to ensure scalability and efficiency across projects.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies in computational design, AI-driven design tools, and digital fabrication.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Computational Design, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in computational design within an architectural or interior design context.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Parametric Modeling: Rhino + Grasshopper, Dynamo (mandatory).
- Programming/Scripting: Python, C#, or visual scripting (preferred).
- BIM: Strong working knowledge of Revit and interoperability with computational tools (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of design principles, materials, building systems, and construction techniques.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork in multidisciplinary environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality deliverables.
- A portfolio showcasing computational design projects (mandatory for consideration).

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

- Experience with AI-driven optimization tools for design and workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of digital fabrication, computational geometry, and material research.
- Familiarity with collaborative workflows, data visualization, and interoperability across software platforms.
- Experience in cloud-based computing or scripting for large-scale data processing in design applications.
- Ability to generate multiple design iterations to evaluate options and inform decision-making.
