The driving force behind our success has always been the people of AspenTech What drives us is our aspiration our desire and ambition to keep pushing the envelope overcoming any hurdle challenging the status quo to continually find a better way You will experience these qualities of passion pride and aspiration in many ways from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community The Role The Project Engineering Manager will build and lead a rapidly growing team of project engineers to ensure successful delivery of SCADA and related projects through the provision of high-quality engineering and project support services The successful applicant will contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation transmission and distribution industries Your Impact Design plan integrate test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems including sales presentations and product demonstrations Perform installation integration and testing of the hardware software and system Own troubleshooting efforts for discovered variances and deploy resolutions in a timely manner Define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments as necessary Carry out power system modelling Analysis and electrical design aspects of projects from the feasibility stage through implementation and operations Design and develop custom applications to meet project requirements Manage staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel Lead teams in the development of new solutions and processes Oversee project logistics and resource allocation Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed What You ll Need Masters Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Electrical and Electronics engineering Computer Engineering Systems Engineering or related field Strong understanding of electric utility operations and control room use cases Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 5 years of relevant experience Experience in one or more of the following power systems electric utility operations dispatch real-time control systems client server applications network communications UNIX Linux Windows operation systems C C Experience with electrical utility control systems SCADA EMS GMS ADMS OMS DERMS or experience working in utility operations or engineering support is good to have Proficiency in object-oriented programming C Python or similar scripting experience SQL knowledge preferredis good to have Experience with CAD Visio or similar software preferred Experience in Database structures Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL Mongo Cassandra preferred Experience with JSON XML preferred Experience with common utility protocols ICCP DNP IEC MultiSpeak preferred Excellent organization interpersonal and leadership skills Personnel and project management skills Strong communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Strong commitment to providing superior customer service Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
