Job Description About the role Name of the position: Material Analyst Educational Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech Materials engineering/Polymer science Work Experience: 7-9 years Position Description: Polymer material expert Roles & Responsibilities: - Selection of right material & process for plastic, rubber, adhesive, foam, gaskets for 2W & 3W compoments for ICE & Electric vehicles - Work on new technology projects in the area of polymer, composites & Paints. Should interact with various suppliers & research institutes for exploration of new technology ideas. - Polymer parts testing & clearance using Material characterization techniques( e.g -FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRD, SEM/EDS etc) & mechanical testing(e.g. tensile, compressive, shear & peal strength measurement) for all new products. Failure analysis of polymer parts to identify the root cause.(ICE & EV) - Coordinate with design teams to collect exact mateial requirements to ensure first time right quality of developed part. - Prepare the reports for new product development & failure analysis. - Work on retained newness of polymer painted & unpainted parts to improve the aesthetics of vehicles - Prepare and release the polymer material & process standards,generate polymer material properties as per the requirement - Generate & implement cost reduction ideas.
