For more information, visit www.Gspann.Com Job Position (Title):SRE Principal Engineer Experience Required:12+ Years Job Type: Fulltime Number of positions: 2 Location: Pune Technical Skill Requirements - Strategic Leadership: Change management, incident management, influencing senior management and Akamai - Advanced Observability: Org-wide standards, E2E implementation, innovation - Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, New Relic - Cloud & Automation: Azure, Python (strongly preferred) - Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines - Containers & IaC: Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps - Soft Skills: Visionary thinking, transformation leadership, deep troubleshooting - Define and monitor SLOs/SLAs - Drive incident response and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Role and Responsibilities - Ensure high availability, low latency, and optimal performance of global eCommerce platforms. - Lead incident and change management processes to maintain system stability. - Champion observability best practices across product delivery teams. - Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions and unified dashboards. - Develop and enforce instrumentation standards and reusable patterns for engineering teams. - Collaborate cross-functionally to embed reliability into system architecture. - Build custom tools to enhance incident response and software delivery. - Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability and scalability. - Automate operational processes and prepare teams for incident response. - Maintain error budgets, uphold SLOs, and ensure uptime of critical components. - Optimize infrastructure to manage traffic spikes and reduce operating costs. Required Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or related field. - 12+ years of experience in SRE roles with expertise in code management and deployment. - Strong experience with observability tools (preferred: Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, New Relic). - Deep understanding of modern observability trends, tools, and technologies. - Proven ability to identify and resolve gaps in SRE practices across large organizations. - Experience influencing senior leadership on strategic technology decisions. - Strong analytical skills to diagnose performance issues and system anomalies. - Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and learning. - Hands-on experience managing cloud production environments (Azure preferred). - Proficiency in automation scripting (Python preferred). - Familiarity with cloud deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps). - Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). - Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, AWS CodeDeploy). - Skilled in CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis, CircleCI). - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. - Self-driven with the ability to take ownership and deliver independently.
