We re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry Here you lead with innovative thinking grow along with us and join the smartest team in the industry This type of work-work that changes the world-is what the tech industry was founded on So if you re ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark come join us Lead projects working with cross-functional teams to build and demonstrate solutions Good presentation skills including training internal teams partners and customers on the solutions you build as well as representing Pure Storage at conferences and other community events The Pure Solutions team is a dynamic global fast growing team of innovative technologists who are integral to the success of Pures Customers and Sales teams We create soSenior Solutions Engineer SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE Pure Storage products integrate with a broad landscape of ecosystem software platforms and applications for observability orchestration and management We are constantly broadening and deepening our support in the enterprise datacenter ecosystem Pure Storage is seeking to hire an DevOps Platform engineer to focus on software integrations using SDKs and APIs build and maintain these integrations In this role you will work closely with Product Management Solution Architects as well as other cross-functional teams on the company s current and future goals You ll be required to have strong coding skills with fair knowledge on external block storage and file systems like XFS NFS SMB S3 You ll need to be well versed with other datacenter platform components like Kubernetes containers virtual server management IP network connectivity on-premise and in the public cloud connections to AWS Azure If you are a creative thinker and can independently determine what needs to be done and how to do it we are looking for you What you ll be doing Designing automating 3rd party software development tools like Git Jenkins Artifactory ArgoCD for CI CD workflows integrating Pure Storage Platform technologies with third party technologies such as OpenStack Splunk Ansible Developing and integrating plugins into existing and new frameworks on Pure Storage data Platforms using REST APIs Automating a repeatable model using Ansible and Terraform modules for various solutions on traditional Bare Metal BM Virtual Machines VMs and Kubernetes environments Developing lab automation and live recorded demonstrations for empowering sales and field engagements Creating technical presentations for customer field and partner use Developing automation tools for simplifying Solution deployments based on Reference Architectures Implementing and automating test scripts to validate the software integrations Managing and maintaining automation and integration script in Pure Storage GitHub location Learning and understanding the technical strategy in regard to product integration This may include participating in cross-functional teams to review and influence product roadmaps What you ll need to be successful in this role A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in computer science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience is required Thorough knowledge of Python and Shell scripting Familiarity with more than one of the other programming languages like YAML JSON Go Lang Java or C is highly desirable Working knowledge of automation frameworks like Ansible and Terraform Working knowledge of OpenStack and its development workflows Working knowledge of data center infrastructures and environments including storage compute and networking Additional knowledge of Storage management APIs Sound infrastructure knowledge in Linux distributions including virtualization technologies Knowledge of VMware Management interfaces like VMware Cloud Foundation Tanzu Kubernetes etc Good working knowledge on Kubernetes on-premise and in the public cloud lutions that provide outcomes for our customers We solve the most difficult challenges across all core enterprise applications and workflows including Virtualization AI Data Engineering and Analytics Data Protection and Cyber Resilience and any other Alliance integrations where value is created We operate in a cross functional environment that touches every part of Pure from Product to Sales to Customer Experience to Marketing If you like working in an interactive innovative creative environment and have a passion for technologies that make people s lives better -
