We are seeking a Reporting Manager to join and become a major contributor to our Gurgaon based Global Reporting Team which is part of the Center of Excellence CoE A successful candidate in this position will have demonstrable experience with financial reporting and compliance related responsibilities ideal in a Controllership Org The Global Reporting team is responsible for the compliance of all Uber s entities in the APAC EMEA LATAM and North Americas region both financial reporting and local tax compliance Our team works closely with our Tax Legal Accounting Treasury and finance Operations teams and external consultants to ensure that we re compliant across the region This role will help to lead part of the team within CoE overseeing a team of 4 staff and helping to create best practice procedures and policies so that we re always doing things better You will perform activities that include but are not limited to Manage directly 4 staff with additional support from external consultants Take full ownership and responsibility for compliance in the across multi regions Collaborate with our global compliance team and lead projects to ensure we automate processes and create best practice processes on an international level You ll be a strong team player who is able to work with people across the organization The role will report to the Senior Manager Reporting and work closely with other members of the reporting and tax team to manage requests and support the Reporting function What You ll Do Manage a team of 4 FTEs and responsible for Financial reporting and compliance Ensure the Corp Income tax are prepared and filed timely accurately Responsible for the team s global compliance ensuring adherence to all deadlines Execute an annual project plan to ensure the team s compliance deliverables are met on time Understand our business operating model and processes in relation to local regulations and requirements Manage the relationship with our Global compliance partner for Multi region Provide updates to the global reporting leadership team as needed Identify process improvements which will increase efficiency Responsible for automating processes and improving team efficiency Responsible for review of financial statements income tax returns and management reporting Participate in and be an active member in global reporting team initiatives What You ll Need Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance CA 8 years professional experience A strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts principles according to IFRS Strong staff management experience Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges Strong communication skills and ability to communicate key information and status to stakeholders Fluency in English Ability to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organization Excellent project and time management skills ability to prioritize and multitask Experience with Oracle R12 or another large scale ERP is preferred Preferred Qualifications Big 4 experience is a strong plus CA ACCA equivalent qualification preferred Experience in Corp Income Tax would be added advantage We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently If you have the curiosity passion and collaborative spirit work with us and let s move the world forward together Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber s cultural identity Unless formally approved to work fully remotely Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office For certain roles such as those based at green-light hubs employees are expected to be in-office for 100 of their time Please speak with your recruiter to better understand in-office expectations for this role Accommodations may be available based on religious and or medical conditions or as required by applicable law To request an accommodation please reach out to Uber is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race color ancestry religion sex national origin sexual orientation age citizenship marital status disability gender identity Veteran Status or any other characteristic protected by law Uber
