Job Purpose:

To deliver engaging, age-appropriate art education to primary school students (Grades 1–5), encouraging creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for visual arts, while integrating art into the broader educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver structured art lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and age group.
- Introduce students to a variety of art techniques including drawing, painting, collage, clay modeling, and mixed media.
- Foster creativity and self-expression through hands-on activities and project-based learning.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Organize student art displays, exhibitions, and contribute to school events like Annual Day, Art Week, and other celebrations.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain an inventory of art materials and ensure proper care of tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art across subjects when possible.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in the art room/studio at all times.

Qualification & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Art Education or equivalent.
- B.Ed. (preferred, not mandatory for some institutions).
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong portfolio showcasing personal artwork and previous student projects (preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

- Passion for teaching young children and nurturing creativity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a class with patience and positivity.
- Familiarity with modern and traditional art forms.
- Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
- Organized, energetic, and adaptable.
