Infrastructure is technology specialist who is able to design and implement next generation FTP Infrastructure platform engineering capabilities across the end-to-end enablement lifecycle i e development testing release validation and support Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in Infrastructure platform engineering activities related to platform family Ensure focus on platform engineering quality by adopting consistent development testing debugging and documenting practices for effective communication of capabilities Execute activities based on Scaled Agile Framework PI Planning framework Build large scale platform capabilities leveraged by product or platform teams in a self-service model ACCOUNTABILITIESResponsible for building and maintaining performant scalable secure resilient and compliant engineering platform capabilities Develop and implement platform capabilities based on platform architecture roadmap Contribute to platform architecture roadmap in collaboration with platform manager platform owner product manager and platform architecture leads Adopt engineering governance structures and best practices for platforms Adopt platform engineering execution lifecycle planning scheduling building testing deploying documenting and monitor progress to ensure that engineering activities are completed on time on budget and with proper engineering practices and quality processes Help identify new technology platform capabilities for best fit purpose and outline options for cost effective incremental and resilient implementation approach Contribute to platform system demos in collaboration with product management leads to communicate progress and value of FTP Infrastructure platform capabilities being built Support level 3 engineering activities for platforms Provision manage and maintain the software infrastructure that supports platforms DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTSTechnical Functional Line Expertise Knowledge of complex digital landscape across organizations and ability to bring experience of implementing leading technology and engineering capabilities to drive organizational sustainable improvements Experience working in global teams leveraging Agile Scrum or SAFe ways of working methodologies Ability to work on complex technology problems with other team members or independently driving group towards resolution Ability to demonstrate platform engineering tooling and techniques knowledge to other teams Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge on modern platform technologies and ability to explore quickly new platforms features Familiarity with information management practices regulatory requirements and global data privacy laws especially those that uniquely effect the pharmaceutical industry LeadershipAdopt platform engineering culture and practice and influence other engineering teams across Takeda towards a higher maturity level and modern ecosystem Decision-making and Autonomy Ability to work through complex technological situations and propose proper engineering implementation options for decision across divers teams Independently perform day to day platform engineering activities with clarity on when to escalate critical problems or decisions to leadership Ability to identify platform engineering-driven innovation taking balanced risk approach driving small experiments towards value creation mitigate risks and solve emergent problems Interaction Continuously engage and collaborate with each employee to achieve established performance goals and metrics for the year aligned to organizational objectives Coordinate with other engineers at a technical level to drive progress Align with Enterprise Architecture Platform Teams Functional Teams Compliance and Quality Teams to ensure platform engineering capabilities adoption and best practices across deployments Ability to communicate clearly both in verbal and written forms to all organizational levels Innovation Ability to iterate and innovate in a highly regulated environment Consider voice of the customer towards continuous improvements of platform capabilities Complexity Ability to communicate complex engineering topics into actionable strategies implementations and stable platform capabilities Enable complex platform capability introduction from pilot to implementation and finally production grade deployments ensuring quality stability and scalability for consumers of those capabilities Cultural awareness to engage globally with sensitivity to local and regional considerations Ability to operate in an environment of ambiguity and uncertainty while continuing to advance goals and objectives based on available information EDUCATION BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS Required Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Statistics and or Management Information Systems from an accredited university or equivalent experience 3 years of more experience with Agile methods methodologies and leading SCRUM Lean Kanban teams 5 years or more of relevant professional experience as a technology engineer Proven track record of getting things done in complex organizations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in an agile and rapid changing environment with high quality deliverables Demonstrated presentation and communication skills Ability to think outside the box for innovative engineering capabilities Knowledge of information management practices regulatory requirements and global data privacy laws related to the pharmaceutical industry Knowledge of IT Service Management Service Operations and Service Release ITIL v4 and ITSM Proven experience of DevOps CI CD technologies and lifecycle Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud IaaS and PaaS technology environments AWS and Azure preferred Demonstrated experience and knowledge of micro-services concepts API integration enablement container technologies and services Kubernetes based preferred 10 years of experience deploying infrastructure using private hosting solutions compute networking Cisco UCS VMWare Tintri or similar multiprotocol SAN NAS P2V and V2V migrations 10 years experience in Virtualization Administration Experience L3 Level 5 years of experience using public cloud infrastructure AWS or Azure required Proven experience with platform engineering automation lifecycle leveraging infrastructure as code configuration management orchestration modern patterns APIs and site reliability engineering concepts Preferred Experience working with virtual Agile teams in different locations aligning and adapting different work culture and communication styles Experience with scripted deployment process tools and lifecycle i e Terraform Ansible CloudFormation Python
