Job Description

Responsibilities:

Sign-off estimation model covering scope, effort, resources, schedule, and risks.

Validated project plan with critical path, buffers, and contingency.

Migration playbook (discovery design build test cutover hypercare).

Cutover & rollback plan with runbooks; zero P1 incidents in go-live; 100% MDN confirmation for AS2 exchanges.

Discovery & Baseline

Help Inventory trading partners, message types (X12/EDIFACT), protocols (AS2/SFTP/Direct), maps, SI Business Processes (BPML), mailboxes, certificates, volumes, and SLAs.

Classify by complexity/criticality; identify delta between Trusted Link/SI and CIMS/B2Bi standards.

Estimation & Plan Validation

Build WBS, 3-point estimates (PERT), and throughput-based assumptions.

Validate feasibility of milestones and recommend buffers and sequencing.

Architecture & Design Guidance

Advise on SI CIMS/B2Bi integration patterns, enveloping/ack (997/999), error handling, replay, and reconciliation.

Define AS2 (signed/encrypted, sync/async MDN), SFTP hardening, cert lifecycle,Direct connectivity steps.

Map Readiness & Data Integrity

Review map inventory; assess reusability vs. rewrite; define standards (naming, versioning, testing).

Specify unit/system/partner UAT and negative testing.

DB & Code Changes

Review CIMS DB schema deltas and application code impacts for map persistence, tracking, and audit; validate performance NFRs.

Cutover & Hypercare

Design pilot wave-based migration, dual-run strategy, rollback; define hypercare SLAs and stabilization KPIs.

Required Skills & Experience- 12+ years in B2B/EDI with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI 5.x/6.x)BP modeling, adapters (AS2, SFTP, HTTP/S, MQ, JDBC), mailbox, clustering/HA, tuning.

Proven migration from Trusted Link/Gentran to SI/CIMS/B2Bi (map conversion, re-enveloping, functional acks 997/999, TA1, 824).

Deep EDI X12: 850, 855, 856, 810, 860, 867, 940/945/943/944; familiarity with healthcare (835/837) is a plus.

AS2 expertise (certs, MDNs, payload signing/encryption, TLS, ciphers), SFTP hardening, firewall/NAT, DMZ patterns.

DB (Oracle/Postgres/DB2) schema review, SQL, performance checks; Java/Groovy/Shell scripting for tooling/automation.

Estimation & Planning: WBS, PERT/3-point, throughput modeling, schedule risk analysis, critical path methods. Nice-to-Have

Experience with Axway B2Bi (or confirm target B2Bi vendor), MuleSoft/Salesforce B2B add-ons,
