Back Office users predominantly service Clients meet their financial goals There are multiple key strategic programs underway including Big Rock Order Management Transformation Private Bank Modernization Broker Transfer Transformation Brokerage Authorization transformation for which critical work need to delivered from India and so strategic roles in GBS India are being positioned including this role This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy technology and platform choices Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent associated operating environment evaluating system impacts determining the primary systems sub-systems and their interfaces and assisting with end-to-end solution design Job expectations include defining non-functional requirements architectural runway to support new epics features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers Candidate is required to provide and drive solutions through design develop enhance support maintain and test Business tier applications that support business unit or supporting functions using COBOL VSAM CICS DB2 IMS REXX technologies Participate in design development and implementation of complex business applications particularly in the context of modernization that will cater to current and future business need growth Should be well versed with the modern tech landscape including emerging technologies tools and products that will enable the modernization journey Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives Responsibilities Extremely familiar with IBM z OS environment Strong Experience on z OS application development and production support 15 years hands on Mainframe Architecture knowledge and building resilient applications Experience in Coordinating with multiples Vendors and application teams Deep expertise on diverse range of mainframe adaptable languages and tools like ADDI zOS Connect VSAM DB2 COBOL CICS Endevor JCL Control Cards and performance improvement techniques partitioning of jobs data bases Business knowledge and Application understanding on mission critical Financial systems in Wealth brokerage or private banking or asset management Knowledge on z OS Data Replication Strategy Experience with Microsoft Project executive communication project progress status expectations and reviewing deliverables Experience in leading mainframe upgrade projects from design to implementation Evaluate and review new mainframe storage network physical and logical design requirements and correlate with the recommendations provided by architects vendors and address any gaps when necessary Review and certify the proposed project timelines and estimates milestones and deliverables out of the assessment phase Capture risk and gather the mitigation plan Define roadmaps for target state Technology discussions Coordinating the testing troubleshooting and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively Generate publish and communicate Project progress Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable compliance codes and regulations Assist in disaster recovery steps for Active - Passive applications proper sequencing for DR the Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a disaster recovery process and testing Validate the archival or decommission plan existing mainframe Other Responsibilities Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology find creative solutions through knowledge of the domain practical experiments and Proof of Concepts and aligns the solution intent and architectural vision to an evolving backlog of technology change Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics features Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met for example performance maintainability scalability usability and reliability Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and ensures architecture is flexible modular and designed to adapt easily Educates team members on the technology practices standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions Clarifies the architecture and assists with system design for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments Utilizes the defined best
