Company DescriptionThe newly built Anantara Jaipur Hotel marries classic opulence with contemporary comforts The signature Indian restaurant serves cuisine fit for royalty while the rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city along with exotic cocktails With magnificent standalone events facilities the hotel will also host some of the city s grandest weddings with a ballroom banquet room pavilion and banquet lawn that can host thousands of guests for multi-day celebrations To support guests particularly those involved in coordinating meetings and conferences in ensuring that all of their audio-visual and IT needs are met and that all their IT equipment works to their full satisfaction To maintain a full and thorough knowledge of standard IT equipment and how it all works together including PCs laser projectors audio speakers TVs DVD players CD-ROM players To anticipate and pre-empt guest requirements for cables adaptor plugs projector screens laser projectors and other IT collateral and peripherals To maintain a full and working knowledge of hardware operating systems application software and supporting tools available in the market today To advise the hotel GM and Financial Controller on recommended IT spend and upgrade requirements To be available to support the IT needs of colleagues across all departments Supervision of technical personnel on shift Allocation and supervision of PPM tasks Monitor general quality of work To conduct skilled and high-level maintenance as required to effect repair and quality technical PPM Evaluates employee performance monitors operations and recommends improvements To conduct appraisals in line with company directives To organize work in a skilled and professional manner To conduct a minute engineering walk round of a designated area on a weekly basis which is then distributed and action points driven to completion To advise senior colleagues promptly of any problems and failures To ensure all engineering staff receive 6 monthly training in the use of MEWP s electrical safety and the use of PPE Train colleagues in work and safety procedures and in the operation of equipment and supplies implement procedures and standards Monitoring up-to-date spare parts consumption and reporting to the maintenance manager Evaluation of the machinery performance and do corrective actions to improve efficiency Attending troubleshooting and repair work of the machinery Planning for weekly maintenance programs Making sure colleagues have tools and equipment needed for job to ensure a good output To ensure that work areas are left in a safe and tidy condition To use mechanical electrical test equipment and instruments To work on own initiative without full detailed supervision or direction Request support and direction needed Be familiar and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies processes and procedures LI-SS2Qualifications Computer literate Knowledge in Planned Preventive Maintenance and Building Repair Works Manage work priorities and resources Facilitates innovation Internal control systems policies procedures Good command in English Proactive Additional Information Minimum 3 years experience in 5-star hotel Various trades like Electrical AV System Building Management System Building Fire Safety Fire Fighting Experience in computer based planned preventive maintenance and work order system
