Job description Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering architecture and environmental consulting The diverse perspectives of our partners and interested parties drive us to think beyond what s previously been done on critical issues like climate change digital transformation and future-proofing our cities and infrastructure We innovate at the intersection of community creativity and client relationships to advance communities everywhere so that together we can redefine what s possible The Stantec community unites approximately 32 000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents Stantec is a leader in global infrastructure water resource development Buildings Mining Oil and Gas energy and power providing engineering design and remediation construction procurement program management and technology solutions for the environmental water wastewater markets of the Americas Europe Middle East Asia Pacific region Stantec is looking for Senior Piping Designer detailing designer with expertise in Mechanical Piping applications based in the Pune India office The Senior Piping Engineer designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete mechanical piping designs associated with Oil Gas Power Industrial projects Someone who can deal with the Design complexities of medium to major projects with a focus on Piping Mechanical Specification creation Process Plant - Piping layout works in line with P ID Pipe isometric drawing creation PFD P ID Creation Drafting - Understanding off symbols RESPONSIBILITIES Review the input received from clients and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent Preparation of Plant Layout Site layouts General arrangement drawings with focus on - Piping Mechanical Specification creation Process Plant - Piping layout modeling in line with PID Isometric drawing creation PFD PID Creation Drafting - Understanding off symbols Navisworks Model creation To understand design and drafting systems and standards followed by Clients and implement in work Coordination with other Disciplines Designers and Engineers as applicable Coordinate with BIM CAD Lead concerning project requirements Candidate should be able to visualize and produce clash free 3D models using Navisworks and similar tools from Bentley suite of software Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently Good oral and written communication skills Commitment to safe work practices Able to provide input into projects with minimal supervision Can self-direct input and priorities PREFFERED SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Data Document management system experience like BIM 360 ACC Ability to work alone and use his her initiative Assists in the implementation of improvements and innovations within discipline on projects to processes e g develop new tools reuses previous solutions and develop sustainable solutions JOB QUALIFICATIONS - B E B Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering For B E B Tech 8 - 10 years experience For Diploma in Mechanical 12 - 15 years experience PGD in Piping design will be added advantage Mechanical Piping CAD Design experience on Oil GAS Power Refinery Food Beverages Industrial process plants projects 3D Modelling and design experience is must Piping Mechanical Software applications - Autodesk Plant 3D is must Autodesk Revit would be added advantage AutoCAD AVEVA E3D AutoCAD Navisworks manager Understanding of ASME and ANSI Standard Regulations Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a BIM environment Should be good team player Good oral and written communication skills Fully competent in all conventional areas of subject matter or functional area Devise new solutions to problems encountered Good knowledge of other engineering disciplines needs and interfaces Advanced CAD software skills in support of design Full understanding and support in the development of CAD BIM standards and procedures Advanced presentation skills Full knowledge of specialist areas of the BIM process for project delivery Primary Location India Pune Organization Stantec IN Business Unit Employee Status Regular Travel No Schedule Full time Job Posting 01 12 2025 09 12 33 Req ID 1002469
