Job Description Industry & Sector: Enterprise Planning and Budgeting cloud services (EPBCS) Role: Oracle Hyperion Planning & Essbase Consultant On-site (India) Role & Responsibilities - Design, build and maintain Hyperion Planning applications and Essbase cubes: dimension builds, load rules, calc scripts and business rules for budgeting and forecasting. - Develop and optimize Calculation Manager rules and Essbase MDX/Calc scripts to support allocations, driver-based planning and complex calculations with strong performance focus. - Lead integrations between Planning/Essbase and source systems using FDMEE, flat-file loads, or ODI; implement reconciliation, mappings and automated data pipelines. - Perform application tuning, partitions, aggregations and troubleshoot Essbase/Planning performance and scalability issues in production. - Collaborate directly with FP&A and business stakeholders to translate requirements into application designs, prepare test cases, execute UAT and deliver end-user training. - Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and deliver knowledge transfer; provide on-call support for critical financial close windows. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have - Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase in enterprise environments. - Expertise with Calculation Manager, EPMA and FDMEE for application builds and integrations. - Proficient in MDX scripting, Essbase calc scripts and performance tuning. - Practical experience integrating Planning with ERP/GL systems using FDMEE or ODI and automating data loads. - On-site availability in India and ability to support finance month-end/quarter-end cycles. Preferred - Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud migrations or hybrid on-prem to cloud projects. - Hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning 11.x upgrades and patch cycles. - Oracle Hyperion Planning or Essbase certification and prior consultancy engagements with large enterprise FP&A teams.
