The SAEL Group is set to embark on a journey that combines organic and inorganic strategies, leveraging marquee investors and partners to realize our vision. At the forefront of this effort is SAEL Industries, the pivotal entity responsible for raising growth capital across various business segments. In addition to its overarching role, SAEL Industries is actively involved in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for the Group's upcoming renewable projects. Furthermore, it takes charge of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities for both existing commissioned projects and those on the horizon. Through a comprehensive approach, SAEL Group is poised to make significant contributions to the Government's renewable energy targets, exemplifying our commitment to sustainable and impactful growth.
About the Role:
Your Role in our Team: You will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to optimize the performance and efficiency of our Biomass based Powerplants. Your strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving would be focused on improving the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our plants. If you have experience in the energy sector, specifically power plants (Waste-to-Energy, Thermal, Biomass), this job could be the right fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, consolidate, analyse, and interpret data related to plant operations and maintenance activities. Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Collaborate with on-ground operations and maintenance teams to develop strategies for optimizing plant performance.
- Root Cause Analysis: Follow up, coordinate and ensure root cause analysis for equipment failures and operational issues. To consolidate data, analyse and prepare report for onward submission related with different plant breakdown/failures. Provide recommendations and follow up for corrective and preventive actions to plant enhance reliability.
- Predictive Maintenance: To follow up and ensure implementation of predictive maintenance strategies based on data analysis to minimize downtime and maximize asset life. Work closely with maintenance teams to schedule maintenance activities effectively.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance overall plant performance.
- Aux Power efficiency: To coordinate and collect data related with different equipment and analyse the. Elaborate opportunities to reduce Aux power consumption and further improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. An M.Tech in Power engineering (or associated fields) is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Power plant systems, equipment, and processes, including boilers, turbine, Air/water Cooled Condensers, fuel handling systems, emissions control, and environmental considerations. Prior experience of 2-3 years in O&M or related depts. of Powerplants is mandatory. Proficiency in Excel with experience in working with large volumes of data is mandatory.
