Job Description Key Responsibilities - Perform IC Engine calibration activities for meeting the specified performance and emission requirements. - Selection and matching of appropriate engine sub-systems such as turbocharger, power cylinder components, fuel systems, etc. - To analyse engine performance test data and make necessary design change decisions. - To coordinate engine performance testing with cross-functional team including making parts available, test cell readiness, decisions on sensors / data logging, etc. - Execute type approval / certification testing by being stationed at external test agencies / certification agencies. - Perform analytical calculations / verifications of engine performance. - To generate technical reports and maintain technical documentation. - Integration of Exhaust Aftertreatment system with Engine. - Knowledge of Emission test cycles (WHTC, WHSC,WNTE) - Detect and resolve OBD Electric Faults, Components Monitoring, SCR Calibration. Skills And Experience Requirements - Qualification - MTech or B.E. Mechanical or Associated Branches (MTech Preferred) - Experience Range - 2 to 6 Years - Sound understanding of IC engine product, specifically diesel engines. - Good knowhow of principles of thermodynamics, heat, and energy transfers for making good engine performance calibration development to meet emission norms and performance requirements. - Exposure to engine calibration activities necessary. - Understanding of engine High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system and functioning of Turbocharger and power cylinder components. - Problem solving abilities. - Should have MATLAB skills. Should be proficient in MS-office tools. - Good communication and presentation skills. - Position expects willingness to travel greater than 50% of time to various test agency and being stationed at Test Agency for monitoring / executing test plan to achieve desired results efficiently.
