Over the last 20 years Ares success has been driven by our people and our culture Today our team is guided by our core values - Collaborative Responsible Entrepreneurial Self-Aware Trustworthy - and our purpose to be a catalyst for shared prosperity and a better future Through our recruitment career development and employee-focused programming we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment where high-performance talent of diverse backgrounds experiences and perspectives can build careers within this exciting and growing industry PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Serve as a member of the Valuation Team responsible for the preparation and reporting of the monthly and quarterly valuations for the private equity secondary funds including a publicly traded Regulated Investment Company RIC Liaise with onshore and offshore internal resources fund administrators and auditors to meet monthly quarterly and annual reporting deadlines Work closely with finance operations and other groups in preparing monthly investment valuations to be provided the fund accounting team Monitor and analyze the existing portfolio to determine key drivers of valuation change period over period Assist with the quarterly valuation committee preparation in support of the Secondaries valuations QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor s degree in accounting finance or economics with record of high academic achievement Experience Required 3 years experience in Private Equity Private Real Estate investment analysis accounting or related field Strong work ethic detail oriented and strong organization skills Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team with team members across time zones Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high quality deliverables Strong financial analysis writing and presentation skills with curiosity to continue learning Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Reporting Relationships Principal Valuations There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the search is no longer active
