Company Description In India Bosch is a leading supplier of technology and services in the areas of Mobility Solutions Industrial Technology Consumer Goods and Energy and Building Technology Additionally Bosch has in India the largest development center outside Germany for end-to-end engineering and technology solutions The Bosch Group operates in India through twelve companies Bosch Limited - the flagship company of the Bosch Group in India - Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited Bosch Rexroth India Private Limited Bosch Global Software Technologies Bosch Automotive Electronics India Private Limited Bosch Electrical Drives India Private Limited BSH Home Appliances Private Limited ETAS Automotive India Private Limited Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Private Limited Automobility Services and Solutions Private Limited Newtech Filter India Private Limited and Mivin Engg Technologies Private Limited In India Bosch set-up its manufacturing operation in 1951 which has grown over the years to include 16 manufacturing sites and seven development and application centers The Bosch Group in India employs over 30 500 associates and generated consolidated sales of about Rs 26 827 crores 3 1 billion euros in fiscal year 2021-22 of which Rs 24 406 crores 2 8 billion euros are from consolidated sales to third parties Bosch Limited is the flagship company of the Bosch Group It earned revenue of over Rs 11 782 crores 1 39 billion euros in fiscal year 2021-22 Additional information can be accessed at About the Role About the role The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services to the Bosch Group India specifically focusing on the purchase of goods and services as well as software-related agreements This role aims to mitigate legal risks ensure compliance and support business continuity through effective contract management and legal advisory Key Responsibilities Transactional Contracts Draft review and negotiate various contracts for business units to facilitate the achievement of business objectives Ensure all contractual agreements comply with relevant laws and internal policies In-licensing of software Saas Paas and other software agreements cloud computing to assist business Business Advisory Provide legal advice and support to various functions regarding purchase and service-related agreements Proactively identify and assess potential legal risks to minimize liability exposure for the Company Stakeholder Management Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure that all purchase and service agreements adhere to the legal framework promoting business continuity Risk Management Collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel to conduct risk analysis on potential legal issues Evaluate different risk factors related to business decisions and operations implementing strategies to minimize liability Key Result Areas Indicators Effective and timely closure of deals and transactions directly contributing to business continuity Achieve positive feedback from stakeholders reflecting timely and high-quality deliverables Ensure timely updates and conduct trainings on changes in the legal framework relevant to the business Timely reporting and escalation of identified legal risks Qualifications What We re Looking For Education Law degree LLB from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Indian law college LLM or specialization in relevant legal fields is an advantage Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in contracting e-commerce and digital business law prior experience in reputed law firms or as in-house counsel supporting in relevant area is highly preferred Skills Strong contract management and negotiation skills Proficiency in laws relating to contracting e-commerce IT and digital laws Analytical thinking effective communication and proactive risk management Ability to collaborate across departments and work with external partners Additional Information Experience gained from a reputable commercial law firm and then made transition to the in-house legal team of a recognized entity particularly in sectors such as technology digital automotive FMCG or other manufacturing
