Job Description

Job Title: Engineer, Water Chemistry Lab

Reporting To: Senior Engineer-Chemical

Location: GEC-Noida

No of Positions: 01

Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking a Research and Development Scientist to join our Treatment Center of Excellence Department. The role involves supporting engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for water disinfection projects, filtration, media optimization and sensor development. The candidate will analyze data to identify potential issues or improvements and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water treatment technology. The candidate will conduct performance tests on products and prototypes using test stands and analytical instrumentation according to work instructions or experimental plans. Key Responsibilities:

- Support R&D in chemical processes.
- Collaborate with global RnD team to drive end to end innovation from Ideation, demonstration and deployment under water solution for different business segment.
- Develop technical capabilities with effective infrastructure.
- Develop and test prototypes, membranes, carbon media, and water-based sensors.
- Sound knowledge on advanced filtration technology- Graphene based membrane.
- Worked on Microplastics and Micropollutants removal technologies.
- Knowledge of various types of adsorbents for removal of heavy metals.
- Apply chromatography and spectrophotometry techniques.
- Expertise in AAS, GC-MS, TGA, DSC.
- Stay updated on trends in water treatment processes.
- Manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy in design calculations, cost estimates, and documentation.
- Maintain project documentation and laboratory inventory.
- Ensure safety compliance and commit to continuous learning.

Educational Qualification:

- PhD Chemistry, Post Graduation (Analytical Electrochemistry/Chemistry), B.Tech.(Chemical, Materials Science & Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Nanotechnology).
- Five years of experience in RnD water Chemistry development.
- Experience preferred in advanced filtration technology.
- Specific Skills: MS office, Mass and energy balance calculation etc.
- Proficiency with computers and scientific equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and standards.
- Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
