Role Overview

The Director will serve as the academic and administrative leader of Shivalik College of Engineering, responsible for steering the institutions strategic vision, academic growth, research excellence, and industry engagement. The role demands a visionary leader with outstanding academic credentials, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for shaping future generations of engineers and technocrats.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership

- Provide visionary leadership in shaping institutional policies, academic strategies, and long-term growth plans.
- Ensure effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and alignment with global academic benchmarks.
- Drive initiatives for institutional rankings, accreditations (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, QS, etc.), and global collaborations.

Academic & Research Excellence

- Oversee curriculum innovation, research advancement, and outcome-based education (OBE) frameworks.
- Promote interdisciplinary research, patents, publications, and sponsored projects.
- Encourage faculty development programs, conferences, and research-driven pedagogy.

Administration & Governance

- Ensure compliance with AICTE, UGC, and affiliating university regulations.
- Lead faculty recruitment, training, and mentoring to build a world-class academic team.
- Manage budgets, resources, and infrastructure for optimal academic delivery.

Industry & Community Engagement

- Build strong partnerships with industries for placements, internships, and collaborative projects.
- Enhance global outlook through MoUs with international universities and institutions.
- Foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and incubation initiatives for students.

Student Development

- Create a vibrant student-centric ecosystem that emphasizes holistic growthacademic, cultural, ethical, and entrepreneurial.
- Ensure continuous improvement in placements, career counseling, and alumni engagement.

Desired Profile

- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (from IIT/NIT or other reputed institutions preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1520 years of academic experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Dean/Director/Principal).
- Proven record in academic administration, research guidance, and institutional development.
- Research Contributions:
- Strong record of publications in Scopus/SCI-indexed journals, patents, and externally funded projects.
- Attributes:
