A leading talent acquisition company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HSE Officer to be part of our esteemed team in Saudi Arabia. The selected HSE Officer will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental best practices, thereby promoting a safe working environment.
If selected, the work location would be onsite at Saudi Arabia.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee the health and safety management system on site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify existing or potential hazards and enforce corrective measures.
- Address client requests for Health and Safety waivers or clarifications within the established timeline.
- Facilitate regular safety meetings and training sessions to enhance awareness and compliance among the workforce.
- Participate actively in safety incident investigations and recommend enhancements to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain comprehensive safety records, documentation, and reports related to site performance.
- Promote a culture of safety and encourage proactive risk assessment practices among personnel.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure high compliance with health and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HSE function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and practices.
- Experience in carrying out safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs effectively.
- Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable.
- Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures is an advantage.
