Job Description We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spring Boot Specialist to join our client's team through Acme Services. This pivotal role requires 4 or more years of professional experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java Collection Framework, Microservices, OOPS, and Multithreading Concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Spring Boot-based applications and services, possessing hands-on expertise in algorithms, data structures, and RESTful web services. You'll be instrumental in both developing new features and ensuring the stability and performance of critical production systems, reporting directly to the Principal Architect. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities - Application & Service Development: Responsible for designing and developing Spring Boot-based applications and services. This includes the development of Java/Spring Boot-based Microservices frameworks. - Core Java & Spring Expertise: Apply hands-on knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java Collection framework, Microservices, OOPS, and Multithreading Concepts. - Data Structures & Algorithms: Demonstrate hands-on experience in Algorithms and Data Structures. - Microservices & API Design: Design Microservices, Conceptual Models, Sequence, and Class Diagrams. Implement RESTful Web Services using Spring Boot for low-latency, high-availability, and performant ecosystems. - Frontend Integration: Possess experience in frontend technologies, Spring MVC, JSP, Servlets, and an understanding of callbacks, Async processing (AJAX), and functional aspects of JavaScript. - Database Knowledge: Utilize knowledge and experience with Big Data and SQL, including SELECT/UPDATE statements, aggregate functions, table joins, indexes, etc. - Testing & Quality Assurance: Proficient in JUnit, Maven & Jenkins. Participate in design and code reviews with external vendors to ensure code quality metrics are adhered to. Assist in ensuring NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements) are met and availability metrics are adhered to. - Production Support: Crucially, demonstrate experience in handling critical issues in a production environment and providing timely resolution. - Agile Development: Possess experience working in an Agile Development Environment and can cope with the speed of the scrum process. - Problem Solving & Ownership: Exhibit strong analytical thinking, be a self-driven individual to face challenges and work with unknowns in fixing elusive bugs in Microservices, SOA architecture. Demonstrate traits to take ownership of components and deliver work end-to-end, including designing, development, release, and bug-fixing. - System Integrations: Manage integrations between different systems (e.g., IBM WCS, IBM Sterling Backend, Enterprise systems, Mobile). - Communication & Collaboration: Must have good interpersonal skills to interact with various teams. Possess extremely good communication skills and be able to drive technical discussions with partners and vendors. Qualifications - 4 - 6 years of experience in designing and development on Java frameworks. - Good knowledge of Spring and Java programming. - Reports to the Principal Architect. Mandatory Skills - Experience working with J2EE application servers like IBM WAS, Weblogic, Tomcat/Jetty. - Spring framework development on Spring Boot. - Experience in handling critical issues in a production environment and resolution. Desirable Skills - API gateway integration, API security, and API performance benchmarking. - Familiarity with MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js) stack. - Big Data and NoSQL understanding based on Cassandra, MongoDB. - Working / conceptual knowledge of Kafka, ActiveMQ, ZooKeeper, Kong, Ambassador. - Experience with configuration management and source control systems (Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GIT, SVN). - Working knowledge of Unix, including common commands like find/cp/mv/ssh commands / executables etc.
