Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in manual testing. You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams in a fast-paced startup environment to deliver high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities Manual Testing - Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI/UX, and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications. - Identify, document, and track bugs using standardised issue-tracking tools. Test Case Authoring & Execution - Write clear, comprehensive, and reusable test cases and test plans. - Maintain and update test scenarios as product features evolve. - Ensure full coverage across user flows, edge cases, and platform variations. Release Readiness - Participate in release cycles by validating builds, retesting fixes, and ensuring quality standards are met. - Prepare and document release notes with clarity and accuracy. Automation Curiosity & Experimentation - Independently explore and experiment with testing automation tools and frameworks. - Contribute ideas on how automation can be introduced or improved in existing processes. Startup Collaboration & Agility - Work closely with developers and product managers in a collaborative, fast-iteration environment. - Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new feature launches, and rapid development cycles. Required Skills & Qualifications - 2–3 years of experience in QA testing for mobile or web applications. - Strong understanding of QA methodologies and defect life cycle. - Experience writing structured test cases and test documentation. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid releases. - Good communication skills for articulating bugs, risks, and release notes. - Self-driven mindset with a willingness to explore automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Nice-to-Have - Exposure to automation frameworks (even at experimentation level). - Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android). - Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman). - Familiarity with agile processes and sprint-based QA cycles.
