Procedures and diagnostics: - Perform endoscopic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies. - Interpret diagnostic tests and biopsy results. - Perform surgical procedures (for surgical gastroenterologists) or assist in surgeries. Treatment and management: - Develop and manage treatment plans for a wide range of conditions, includinginflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, and cancers. - Prescribe medications and provide dietary advice. Administrative and professional duties: - Document patient visits and procedures accurately in medical records. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care. - Participate in continuing education and stay current with advancements in gastroenterology.
