The Role: Lead - Product Designer (UI/UX)
Location: Mumbai/Bangalore
As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how millions of Indians experience investing. You will own and drive the end-to-end user experience for the Upstox website - designing seamless, responsive, and elegant web interfaces. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with our products, helping them make informed financial decisions with confidence.

What You'll Own
Craft Delightful Experiences
Translate business, content, and marketing goals into intuitive, user-friendly responsive web interfaces.
Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and frontend-ready designs that balance aesthetics and usability.
Maintain and evolve visual consistency across all pages, states, and edge cases.
Collaborate Across Functions
Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, UX Researchers, Content, and Marketing to bring ideas to life.
Provide detailed design specifications, guide implementation, and ensure pixel-perfect execution.
Collaborate with design, brand, and dev teams to align on scalable and consistent design decisions.
Design System & Execution
Contribute to and grow our scalable design system, making sure it evolves with product needs.
Help build a visual foundation that supports future product expansion and interaction models.
Iterate, Test & Improve
Lead UX ideation through wireframes, concept sketches, and usability tests.
Collect and incorporate user feedback, analytics, and research insights for continuous refinement.
Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and patterns.

Who You Are
7+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio that reflects user-centered design thinking and interface excellence.
Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).
Strong foundation in UX/UI principles and digital product design for responsive web.
Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite familiarity with Agile methodologies and product squads.
Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively across functions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills - you can confidently explain your rationale to stakeholders, engineers, and designers.
Thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment - you enjoy the hustle and evolve with it.
Passionate about branding, storytelling, and designing at the intersection of product and marketing.

Bonus Points
Experience in financial apps or platforms, especially those involving data visualisation.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS or a good understanding of technical constraints.
Personal interest in the stock market, trading, or promoting financial literacy.
