Job Title Data Engineer Location Ahmedabad Gujarat Project Summary The Data Engineer will support the SEWA tech team in the enterprise design and implementation of new data lake metadata structures reporting and analytics products and services and application integration to support data integration across the organisation Key accountabilities of position Area of accountability Drive technology enhancement and transformations at SEWA Support existing tech team to assess existing applications and data structure Work with SEWA teams to develop and implement data solutions Plan and create data lake and data catalogues of existing and new data streams Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes Choose metadata tool or platform and management processes Facilitate the Business Insights Data Analytics officer in collection cleansing and merging of data activities and document processing rules Document data models schemas dictionaries and affiliated metadata and data requirements Support application integration and structuring of data environment Undertake source control and promote solutions through Dev Test Prod Identify tools and equipment procurement and dissemination including hardware Support budget and procurement processes Community connection Capacity building of leaders organizers coordinators and users to use the devices and technology to access single SEWA wide application data collection platform and analysis tools Support the processes and goals of the climate action and impacts on health energy and livelihood project Specific Job Competencies Education qualifications Degree or other educational study in computer science information systems digital or related field Experience At least three years of experience in data engineering or architecture ideally within the non-profit sector or a comparable international development setting Essential Experience with establishing data lakes and lakehouse reporting structures Experience with Data Modelling tools and techniques Experience with ETL and data migration tools Hands-on experience using DevOps framework Procurement and budgeting experience
