You re ready to gain the skills and experience needed to grow within your role and advance your career - and we have the perfect software engineering opportunity for you As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Risk Technology you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firm s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way As an emerging member of a software engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role Job responsibilities Develop and maintain user-facing features using React js and related technologies Collaborate with UI UX designers to translate design wireframes into high-quality code Optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices and browsers Work with backend developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth user experiences Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains modern and competitive Assist in the development of backend services when necessary using technologies such as Node js Express or similar Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience Hands on practical experience as a Front End Developer with a strong focus on React js Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and modern JavaScript libraries frameworks Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling Basic understanding of backend technologies and frameworks e g Node js Express Experience with version control systems such as Git Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Exposure to cloud technologies
