Summary This opening is for a GE90 GP TCF Module Mechanical Design Lead Engineer within GE90 GP Engineering section at GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center Activities contributing to the design and development of products solutions and systems Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components You will be required to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team including but not limited to Supply chain Assembly Systems Programs Manufacturing Programs Quality Repairs PSE Materials and other functional teams to achieve the desired outcome for the module Site Overview Established in 2000 the John F Welch Technology Center JFWTC in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies advanced materials and additive manufacturing Role Overview In this role you will report to GE90 GP Aft Engine LCE Design Sub-Section Manager GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center In addition you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering MRO supply chain CEO and services organization As a Lead Engineer your responsibility broadly includes Independently own and execute GE90 GP TCF programs requiring design analysis test or integration to define and support assigned components assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program product requirements Be the first point of contact from LCE on any query from sourcing supplier fleet repair customer Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status business issues and significant developments as appropriate Responsible to support shops for Departure record resolution and shop visit cost reduction Should network establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs Cross functions teams viz Shop SC Repair MAE CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module Demonstrate clear thinking strong technical articulation manage handoffs between different organizations Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements schedules and customer commitments Leverage digital tools analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions on ESM limit extensions special procedures etc Adopt Lean in day-to-day work for process improvements Demonstrate collaborative work style and team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally Required Qualifications Bachelors Master s Degree in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position design analysis systems services Exposure to structures design and Manufacturing processes will be added advantage Strong Design creativity and problem-solving capabilities Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities Excellent communication and presentation skills Desired Characteristics Familiarity with Turbine Center Frame module Structures parts analysis design manufacturing experience Previous experience in component hardware ownership role will be added advantage Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills At GE Aerospace we have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen Here you will have the opportunity to work on really cool things with really smart and collaborative people Together we will mobilize a new era of growth in aerospace and defense Where others stop we accelerate Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided Yes
