Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist In this role you will Design and Develop backend applications for data processing using GCP native storage systems like BigQuery Cloud SQL and GCP buckets Ensure that the data processing is performant and cost efficient Integrate backend code with front end applications ensuring seamless performance and adherence to security authorizations and authentication policies Develop efficient and performant airflow dags and google cloud dataflow to deploy applications in GKE process data on GCP Develop looker reports based on business requirements and create those reports by data processing using airflow DAGs Define pipelines to move data between on-prem to GCP using juniperDesign and develop responsive and dynamic UI components using React JS hooks or angular Help Integrate UI with cloud based backend API S Especially services deployed on GCP App Engine cloud functions cloud run Firebase etc Develop cloud native applications to execute highly performance data decisions using GKE Understanding of the cloud information security architecture in line with current and future enterprise architecture Work with Cloud Storage Pub Sub or other GCP-managed services for data integration and real-time updates Use CI CD tools like Cloud Build GitHub Actions Jenkins to deploy code and infra in a cloud-native pipeline Ensure that code conforms to highest quality and security standards Ensure application security accessibility and cross-browser compatibility To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience in GCP native storage systems like BigQuery Cloud SQL and GCP buckets Hands on experience in designing and implementing storage solution of various SQL and NO-SQL databases considering volume costs retention and backup capabilities Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services and tools Hands on experience in Airflow Dags google cloud dataflow error log sinks and looker reports Experience in developing applications hosted on GKE Exposure to GCP DevOps tools such as Cloud Build Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring Solid understanding and experience in achieving reliability and deploying site reliability engineering principles SRE Exposure to standard code quality and security tools such as SonarQube CyberFlow and Jenkins to write code with highest quality and security standards You ll achieve more when you join HSBC www hsbc com careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued by - HSBC Software Development India
