Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and prolific Correspondent / Senior Correspondent with editing capabilities to join our Digital team. This role demands a passion for high-impact journalism, particularly in advertising, marketing, and related subjects. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling stories, collaborating with editors, and ensuring our digital platforms are consistently updated with fresh, engaging, and forward-looking content. Key Responsibilities: - Content Creation & Storytelling: Write high-impact features and stories about advertising, marketing, and related subjects. This includes spotting potential stories, following breaking news, and developing riveting stories with forward-looking angles. - Editing & Production: Work closely with editors and copy editors in editing cover stories, feature stories, top lists, and departmental content. You will also be responsible for producing at least 3 articles per day. - Multi-Audience Content: Create features and content that can be effectively utilized for multiple audience segments, adapting tone and style as needed. - Website Updates & News Feed Management: Regularly update the website with fresh reports and news feeds, ensuring our digital presence is current and dynamic. - Exclusive Interviews: Conduct exclusive and extensive interviews with corporate heads, business executives, and other industry professionals, generating unique insights and content. - Media Coverage: Provide media coverage for product launches and brand unveilings related to the electronic, advertising, and marketing industries. - Digital Platform Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of content restrictions and the benefits of producing content specifically for Digital Platforms (e.g., music, video, images). - Performance Monitoring & Strategy: Keep a sharp eye on content performance, social media strategies, and audience growth and engagement. Work closely with the team to conceive original content and strategies that effectively engage our audience. Required Skills: - Writing & Editing: Excellent writing skills, with a proven ability to write unique and high-quality content, conduct interviews, write feature stories, and cover events. Ability to provide substantive editing or rewriting. - Digital Acumen: A healthy addiction to the Internet and newsworthy trends. Experience working with social media and SEO strategies is a strong advantage. - Content Generation: A real talent for generating and finding fresh, engaging content not just daily, but hourly, demonstrating quick thinking and responsiveness. - Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong organizational skills and a proven ability to multitask effectively. - Team Collaboration & Independence: Must be team-oriented and responsive, yet also capable of working independently to meet objectives. - Business Journalism Forte: A strong forte towards writing, ideally with a background in business journalism. - Digital Platform Knowledge: An understanding of content restrictions and benefits for producing for digital platforms.
