Azure Data Engineer/Architect: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Azure Data Engineer/Architect. As a Senior Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing multiple data workspaces using Azure Data Lakes and optimizing business processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and deliver high-quality solutions and be part of designing team.
Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years experience in Azure Data Engineering
Location
The successful candidate shall be placed at any of our Client's location in Pune. It is a Full-time Job, "No" remote work. Engineers willing to work full-time as Azure Data Engineer/Architect may apply. Candidates who can join on "Contract to Hire" basis shall be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architecting/Designing Data Platform: Work closely with data engineering team to design a data platform that supports both application and reporting needs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
2. Best Practice Implementation: Lead the design of the technical architecture for a modern data platform, aligning it with best practices for Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
3. Cost Optimization: Identify and implement optimization techniques so as to reduce costs across platforms. Implement de-duplication and efficient data storage solutions.
4. Azure Data Lake Improvements: Consolidate multiple data workspaces within Azure Data Lake for better management, performance, and cost-efficiency.
5. Data Modelling: Assist in detailed data modelling at table and view granularity, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
6. Data Source Consolidation: Streamline data sources to improve management, governance, and data quality, laying the foundation for future data initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and other Azure services.
2. Strong capability in designing and implementing medium to large data platforms in Azure, covering both application and reporting requirements.
3. Proven deep knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure cloud services.
4. Demonstrated ability to optimize cloud services, reduce costs, and improve performance in large-scale data environments.
5. Strong expertise in understanding and handling large sets of data specifically in Azure environment.
6. Expertise in Data modelling, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
