Responsibilities

We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Shared Platform Services team. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

- Architecting, designing, and enhancing a highly efficient observability framework within our C++ client, covering telemetry, diagnostics, and paving the way for self-healing capabilities
- Writing and maintaining clean, efficient, and portable C++ code that functions seamlessly across our full range of target platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
- Instrumenting our cross-platform C++ endpoint agent to fundamentally improve its telemetry and diagnostic capabilities

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on systems-level or application development
- Expert proficiency in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and a deep understanding of its patterns and idioms
- Proven experience in cross-platform development for desktop environments (Windows, Linux)

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

- Experience developing and debugging C++ code for mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
- Experience working on security, endpoint detection and response (EDR), or device management products
- Knowledge of operating system internals (e.g., system calls, IPC, memory management) on Windows, macOS, or Linux
